Meet our team.

Karen

Karen Dubón Sayre, M.A.

Karen [she/her] is our senior consultant. She is a first-generation immigrant from El Salvador and has worked in access and inclusion for nearly 20 years. Karen has a breadth of experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation to stakeholders in multiple languages. Her wide skillset is an asset to our team. She has also traveled extensively with international charities to provide translation services, and support medical professionals. Her Master’s degree is in Leadership from Notre Dame University of Maryland and she completed her Bachelor’s degree at Roanoke College. She is fluent in English and Spanish. In her free time, Karen loves to hike and cook gourmet meals with her family.

Leslie

Leslie Reynolds

Leslie [she/her] serves as our creative and communications consultant. She has worked for two decades in creating visual and experiential content as well as in editing and proofing. She has also served as a tutor, caregiver, and advocate for individuals with special needs, and has worked extensively as an event planner. She completed her undergraduate degree in English and Creative Writing at Roanoke College and her graduate coursework in Liberal Studies at Hollins University. In her free time, she enjoys karaoke, song-writing, binging great documentaries, and navigating YouTube and TikTok in search of exceptional educational materials.

 

Kasey

Dr. Kasey Richardson

Kasey [they/them, he/him] founded Resonance Research & Advocacy and serves as lead consultant. He specializes in integrating inclusion and belonging as a way of life, and guides the company’s team of consultants. An advocate for DEIBJ and disability awareness for almost two decades, he has previously worked in sales, non-profit, and education. Kasey earned a Ph.D. with a concentration in Research and Evaluation from Virginia Tech and has collaborated on and published multiple studies and action research projects. He is fluent in Spanish and gets by conversationally in Portuguese and Italian. For fun, he enjoys lifting, traveling, the beach, and gaming.

Kasey wants you to know: “As the founder of this social entrepreneurship, I recognize my position of privilege: a cis white man passing as straight. I am here to listen. I hear you. I believe you. I want to use the tools and training at my disposal to amplify ignored voices.”

As a social entrepreneurship, we give monthly financial contributions to several nonprofits, including the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center (BRAAC), the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Center (BARCS), and the Native American Rights Fund (NARF). You can often find our staff and consultants volunteering at events that support local and regional causes as well.
